Describe your ideal Winter Break. Where would you go? What would you do? Money is not an obstacle. If you could do anything you wanted, what would that be?

Since I would have ultimate money I would buy a car. I would buy lots of stuff for my trip and stuff just for fun. I would go have fun. Of course I would take my friends to see a huge mansion ( I've always wanted to go to a mansion) Then I will go on a world cruise. I actually would buy the whole mansion so I could live there. I would go on the biggest shopping spree ever. Then I would go to Bill Gates and take his money (we could do whatever). I would buy allot of stuff worth over a billion dollars then after the break I would return it all and get alot of money.I would go and buy Google (the company) so I could earn lots of money that way.

Hiding something

Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn't want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?

Yes I have :)  I acted as if I had nothing to hide so nobody questioned me about it. Nobody realized it because I acted as if I had nothing to hide because I knew nobody would find it. They never found out.

It seems like reading Edgar Allan Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? Share your memories of you or teachers reading the works of Edgar Allan Poe.If you have not read Poe or don't remember, describe to me what you expect from a classic horror writer? What kinds of stories do you think we'll be reading? Have you ever read scary stories?

I have read "The Cask of Amontillado". It was pretty weird. I remember how the guy got sealed into a brick wall. It was eery. I think we are going to read some scary stories, since it is getting close to Halloween. Oh yah I have also read the tell-tale heart. It is about this guy with this messed up eye. Then the guy every night he goes to this other guys house and scares him. Finally the messed up eye dude murders the scared guy, and sticks him under a floor board. The police comes and he hides and because his heart was pumping so much he comes out and turns himself in. Yes, I have read a few scary stories most were those dumb in a dark, dark, room.

vacation

Write about a family vacation. It can be the best, the worst, the funniest... make sure you describe what happened and make your readers feel like they were there with you.

My favorite family vacation is when my family and I went to Alaska for three weeks visiting my great aunt. We got on a airplane and flew to Anchorage were we rented an R.V. When we finally got an R.V we started to drive away and in our path was a moose. So we turned around and drove a different way. My sisters and I rode up on a bunk on the very top and the road dipped and turned and it was fun.
